(New York, NY) Seeking an experienced front-end developer to
lead all client-side application development on a new local news
site. You have experience building user-focused web applications, are
an independent and creative thinker, and have a strong desire to take
ownership at an early-stage company. You are
a good communicator who thinks critically about UI issues and is
willing to express opinions. Links to current projects a plus.

-Expert and up-to-date XHTML/Javascript/CSS coding skills.
-Ability to implement AJAX solutions using client-side libraries such
as Prototype and Scriptaculous.
-Strong knowledge of web standards, CSS-based (table-less) design,
and cross-browser compatibility.
-Ability to work collaboratively with design, product, and
engineering teams.
-Familiarity with Ruby/Rails or similar frameworks a plus.
-BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
