Bingo is a game of chance in which numbers are drawn randomly and players match those numbers to the same numbers that are appearing on 5×5 matrices which are printed or electronically represented and known as bingo cards, boards, or papers. These cards include 25 numbers that are randomly placed into 5 separate columns. Column B consists of numbers 1 through 15, column I numbers 16-30, column N numbers 31-45 and a free space, column G numbers 46-60, and column O numbers 61-75. The first person to have a card where the drawn numbers form a specified pattern (usually in a straight line or various letters or shapes) is the winner and calls out the word “Bingo!” to inform others and the caller of the win. The card is then checked for accuracy to make sure it was correctly marked. Once the card is verified as a win a new game beings. Most modern bingo halls have one or two bingo blowers (the machines that hold the balls) and one or two flashboards (where a bingo caller places called balls and controls game types and number). The blowers all have four features, a chamber to blow the balls from, a tube to draw one ball at a time, a master board, and a way to return the balls from the board to the chamber. Most modern blowers have a simple computer that can be programmed to display certain games in a certain order, called a session. The flashboards hold the balls that were already called. Each circular opening houses a single ball, once the caller draws the number from the blower it is placed in its corresponding hole. This then lights up the called numbers on the flashboard in order to help players and the caller keep track of what numbers have and have not been called.
