Bingo, a game of chance, is played out on a paper card containing numbers. B I N G O is spelled out on the top of the card. Each letter corresponds to a range of 15 numbers, but only containing a randomly selected five numbers. For example the column under "B" could possibly contain up to five different numbers ranging from 1 to 15; or the column under "G" could possibly contain five different numbers ranging from 46 to 60. With one exception, the third number on the "N" column is a free space. This space is automatically filled in by the player. The caller, a person who randomly selects the numbers, screams out the numbers to all the players, as he selects the numbers. The player will place a small chip over the corresponding number, to indicate that his card contains this number. Slowly, as the player begins to place more and more chips over their corresponding numbers, his car gets filled up. When the card connects five numbers in a row, the player wins. The numbers could be connected diagonally, horizontally, or vertically across the card. When the player sees that he has a row of five numbers covered, he should scream out "Bingo!" Then, the caller will review the winning numbers over with the player. If the player does have a valid bingo, then the player wins. Usually, in this type of game, there is some prize for the winner.
Recently, online bingohas begun to be played. Instead of a caller, the computer will would use a random number generator to randomly select one of the numbers. Players across the world, connected via the Internet, will each have "virtual cards" on their monitors. This works just like standard bingo except it's much easier to play, because it's over the Internet and on a computer. But, instead of the element of some medial prize, online bingo usually offers cash prizes, making it gambling. This is why it is usually represented with online casino. There is also the element of chatting with other people from across the world via a chat room on the corresponding website. This is a very enticing element of online bingo, which standard bingo could not produce. This is causing online bingo to grow in popularity compared to standard bingo. More and more people are beginning to move away from standard bingo, and toward online bingo.
